Despite Ichigo having no real interest in her whatsoever, Orihime continues to indulge in her fantasies.
Summary:
Orihime is in her apartment fantasizing about Ichigo when she gets a phone call regarding Uryuu. At the Kurosaki house, Karin teases Yuzu about Ichigo during dinner and causes Yuzu to storm off. Karin thinks that Ichigo must have been cold to Yuzu again, but suddenly she spots Ichigo running out the door. Ichigo has also been called about Ishida and rushes to the hospital. At the hospital, Ichigo finds that Orihime is already there, but Chad is missing probably because he had work. From his bed, Uryuu complains to his father Ryuken about calling Ichigo, but Ryuken belittles Uryuu for being defeated so easily in battle. Ichigo asks Uryuu about what happened, but Uryuu refuses to say anything and tells his comrades to leave.
Afterwards, Ichigo offers to walk Orihime home, but Ryuken states he'll drive her home instead. After Ichigo walks away, Ryuken tells Orihime that Uryuu wasn't attacked by a hollow or shinigami. Ryuken hypothesizes that the attacker was a human who developed special abilities just like Uryuu and Orihime, and Orihime and Chad may be the next to be attacked. Meanwhile in the streets, Ichigo is thinking about what happened to Uryuu and is frustrated that he doesn't know what's going on. Ichigo decides to call the number that Ginjou gave him, and a voice on the other side welcomes Ichigo to the group Xcution.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ichigo is going to join a gang! Our hero is still stuck in the dark wondering what's going on, and so he decided to follow the lead given by Ginjou, the suspicious guy who showed up out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure Ichigo is being played, either by Ginjou or someone else since we don't know if Ginjou was behind the attack on Uryuu. Uryuu... lol always trying to look cool, but now that he got owned he doesn't want to say anything. If Ryuken's logic turns out to be correct, then Chad is most likely the next target since he is off on his own. Now that Ryuken has gotten involved, I wonder when Isshin will show up. He has been conspicuously missing since the very start of the new arc.
