Yami is too hot for Rito.
Yup, too hot for Rito.
Part 1 summary:
Rito runs into Yami at the school library and notices that Yami seems a bit wobbly and flushed. After Yami loses her balance and leans on Rito, Rito discovers that Yami has a high fever. Rito carries Yami to the infirmary but nobody is there. Rito learns from Oshizu that Mikado-sensei has taken the day off, so Rito and Lala decides to bring Yami to Mikado's mansion. At the mansion, Mikado teases Rito by asking him to help undress Yami, but Rito can't take it and Lala ends up helping. After Yami is undressed, Lala and Rito go off to buy Yami get-well presents while Yami is put into a healing tank. Yami wakes up and finds herself inside the tank, and Mikado explains that Yami fell sick because her body wasn't used to Earth. Mikado then informs Yami that it was Rito who brought her here. Yami gets out of the tank and wonders why Rito would help his would-be assassin, and Mikado answers that Rito doesn't see Yami as an enemy. At this moment, Lala and Rito returns with a bag to taiyaki and they enter the room before Yami has a chance to put on her clothes. Yami gets pissed at Rito and starts slashing around with her hair-knifes.
Part 2 summary:
At school, Lala, Haruna, Yui and the other girls converge at Run's desk to congratulate Run for being given a role in an upcoming "Magical Girl Kyoko" episode. Rito comes by and tells Run that he's looking forward to seeing her on the show. Run is happy that Rito said something nice to her, but actually she's not all that excited about her role on "Magical Girl Kyoko".
The day of the taping has arrived, and Run is not too excited about the revealing costume that she has to wear as a villain on the show. Run also notices that the perverted principal has somehow made his way to the set and is cheering wildly for her from amidst the fans. Run tries her best to ignore the principal. From the sidelines, Run watches a scene of the show being recorded. After taping the scene, the director praises the star of the show, who is actually named Kyoko, for her performance, and this makes Run feel jealous and unappreciated.
I thought Magical Girl Kyoko was supposed to be a kid's show, so what's with the revealing costume?
Run's turn in front of the camera finally arrives, but the director is unsatisfied with Run's acting. The crew takes a break and a tired Run sits on a bench by herself. As Run is complaining to herself, Kyoko walks in front of the bench to check if Run is okay. Kyoko had noticed that Run was looking tired, so she brought some cream puffs to cheer Run up. Run is surprised the Kyoko knows about her favorite snack, and Kyoko surprises Run some more by revealing that she follows Run's blog. Kyoko explains that she is actually a fan of Run's music, and states that Run's song cheer her up when she's feeling tired at work. Kyoko then tells Run that she's happy that Run agreed to play a character on her show. Kyoko's friendly attitude make Run rethink her own antagonistic views about Kyoko. As Kyoko and Run enjoy the cream puffs together, the perverted principal appears out of nowhere, strips into his underwear in half a second, and charges towards Run. Kyoko steps in the way to protect Run, but the principal ends up groping her instead. Run is about to go help Kyoko fight off the principal, but to her shock Kyoko actually blasts the principal with a real fireball. After Kyoko knocks out the principal, Run realizes that Kyoko is actually an alien. Kyoko tries to deny the fact at first, but she tells the truth after Run reveals that she is an alien too. It turns out Kyoko is the offspring of a human/Fire Alien couple and therefore has the ability to generate flames. The producer of the show, who is also an alien, wanted to use Kyoko's special ability for something, and so "Magical Girl Kyoko" was created. Because Earth doesn't officially recognize aliens, Kyoko just tells the rest of the (human) crew that the fire is created by "magic". After hearing Kyoko's story, Run asks Kyoko if she can write about today's events in her blog. What Run really wants to do is to announce the she has become friends with Kyoko in her blog, and Kyoko gladly agrees.
Some things are best fried, such as chicken or perverted principals.
Wait... how is it physically possible for Haruna to take off Yui's bra without Yui taking off her shirt and lifting her arms?
Part 3 summary:
Morning at school, Lala, Rito, Risa and Mio notice that Haruna seems to be different and much bolder than before. She is so bold that she gropes Risa and Mio back after they grope her and also pulls up her shirt without any second thought. Later outside the school, Rito wonders what's up with Haruna when Haruna approaches and asks to talk to Rito. Haruna then confesses that she likes Rito, and Rito is somewhat stunned by the confession. Rito eventually gets back to his senses and notices that Haruna seems to be waiting for him to kiss her. As Rito leans in, two dogs start barking at each other outside the school fence and this causes Oshizu to fly out of Haruna's body. Later, Oshizu explains that her body is in for maintenance so she didn't have a body for the day. In the morning, Oshizu was being chased by a stray dog and ran into Haruna, and Oshizu possessed Haruna in order to escape from the dog. Oshizu apologizes to Haruna about taking over her body, but she also notes that she doesn't know why she went and confessed to Rito. While Rito is wondering what that means, Risa and Mio arrive and start groping Haruna, and Lala and Oshizu join in as well.
Oshizu and Haruna have some semblance to each other.

Another three segments, another alright episode of Motto To Love-Ru. The stories this week aren't much to talk about, and only segment 2 stood out a bit. Segments 1 and 3 are very typical To Love stories; the first with Rito gaining some brownie (or should I say taiyaki) points with Yami and then losing it all in an ecchi situation, and the second with Rito trying to get closer to Haruna but ended up getting nowhere. There are several iterations of these types of chapters in the manga, so it may not be the last we see of them in the anime. I don't really remember reading the chapter segment 3 is based on, but it's probably because the story didn't stand out and I confused it with another chapter where Haruna has a personality change.
Segment 2 was different because it was mostly unrelated to Rito and introduced a new female character in the form of (the real) Kyoko. Before reading that chapter in the manga, I thought Magical Kyoko was just some dumb show that Lala watched, so I was a bit surprised that Kyoko turned out to be a half-alien who can actually launch fireballs. The fire ability is certainly handy for warding off overzealous fans like the perverted principal. The segment also shows that Run is doing pretty well on her own.
Lastly, it wouldn't be a Motto To Love-Ru post without some mentions on the censoring. The censors have upped the ante and starts brushing out the groping now, although bras and topless Yami (with hair covering the naughty spots) are still uncensored. The one thing the censors are consistent about is that they are inconsistent.
