Allean and Nowa vs. Echidna and Irma. Plus the next set of Queen's Blade matches begin.
As always, read at your own risk. This is Queen's Blade after all.
My list of shoddy highlights:
- In the jungle arena, Echidna teases Allean and Nowa before trying to sneak attack Nowa. Allean manages to save Nowa but the two of them end up hanging from a vine above the water. A giant eel attacks and gets part of Nowa's mini-skirt. After getting back onto shore, Allean tells Nowa to use some leaves to cover up her nether regions.
- Echidna continues to tease stating that she wants Nowa to be her apprentice. This ticks off Irma who leaves the scene. Echidna and Allean start fighting each other and Nowa comes in and kicks Echidna into the water. Echidna slays the giant eel but she calls for a break so that she can dry herself. After Echidna wanders off, Allean explains that Echidna had visited the elf village before and she and Echidna had sparred together.
- Back in the real world, Menace is busy putting people under her spell so she can rebuild her country. Meanwhile, Reina is watching the Queen's Blade broadcast and notices that Nowa has covered up.
- The Queen's Blade match reconvenes with Echidna fighting Allean and Nowa 1 on 2 with Irma watching from the sidelines. Echidna manages to toss Allean into a giant pitcher plant where the combat instructor gets stuck. Echidna then proceeds to knock Nowa around and pin the young half-elf against a tree with with throwing knives. Seeing her apprentice in danger, Allean breaks free of the pitcher plant (and loses some of her clothing). After a brief fight Allean disarms Echidna, but suddenly she notices Irma has her sword pointed at Nowa's throat and this forces Allean to admit defeat. After Allean and Nowa leave the arena, Echidna teases Irma about their relationship, but Irma states she intervened because she didn't want to lose. Back in the real world, Allean and Nowa decide to return to their forest.
- Reina notices that her sword is worn out and brings it to Cattleya. The two warriors and Cattleya's son Rana then travel to Yummil's temporary shop so they can use the oven, but Yummil gets pissed when Cattleya attracts the attention of her customers. In the oven room, Cattleya explains that she's participating in Queen's Blade in hopes of reuniting with her husband.
- After getting her sword repaired, Reina is summoned for a match against Yummil in an underground lava cavern. Meanwhile, Cattleya is also summoned for a match and takes Rana along. The match is against Airi, but what's more the match will be presided over by Aldora and it takes place in the room where Aldora stores her collection of frozen enemies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A decent episode of Queen's Blade. The action scenes were pretty snappy in this episode. In the end Echidna and Irma win the match despite not working together for most of the fight. Irma came through when it really mattered though, showing that she just can't stop loving Echidna even though Echidna likes to prey on every innocent young girl that crosses her path. As expected, Nowa wasn't too great with the fighting (although she had two nice maneuvers), but Allean showed off a couple of nice moves and her sexy elven figure. She looks much better without that silly-looking cap and the obtrusive cape. Too bad Allean and Nowa are going home after losing the fight. We can certainly use more of Allean. It was pretty funny that even Allean was embarrassed with Nowa's "elven no pantsu" and asked Nowa to cover up with trusty leaves. I think Reina was disappointed when she found out Nowa covered herself up lol.
On to the next set of matches, our "main" character Reina is finally seeing action against the dwarf princess Yummil, and of course Reina is going to pull off the victory even though she's an incompetent fighter most of the time. More interesting is the fight between Cattleya and Airi taking place amongst Aldora's private collections. I wonder why Aldora decided to preside over the match. Maybe it's because Airi is a servant of the Swamp Witch. Whatever the case, Aldora is probably up to no good as always. I also don't get why Cattleya decided to handicap herself and bring Rana along, unless Airi has a weakness for little boys.
