Even vampires sing Happy Birthday at birthday parties.
Summary:
At the front gate of the Wong mansion, Mr. and Mrs. Wong confront the forces from the Miao family, but Mrs. Wong notes that the hooded young woman leading the Miao family will be difficult to handle. Inside the mansion, Fong-Fong reports to his friends that the Miao family has surrounded the mansion. With Tsukune, Mizore, and Dongfang still unresponsive, Kurumu decides to try out her succubus ability to enter people's dream in order to wake up Tsukune's group.
Back in Moka's dream world, Tsukune's group is watching Moka's birthday party at the Shuzen castle. Tsukune observes that Moka's family seems close, but Mizore notices that the time in the dream world has skipped 2 years and Moka is now 10. As Moka is playing around with her sisters, Moka notices that Akasha is called away by her husband Issa. Curious, Moka follows her parents to a room and listens in from outside the door. Inside, Issa tells Akasha that she had better make her move soon as Kokoa and Kahlua's mother is going to return and she isn't exactly fond of Akasha and Moka. Akasha agrees and states that she doesn't want Moka to ever see the thing that's underground. Moka then hears Issa stating that he received some info on Akuha, but suddenly Moka discovers that Akuha is standing behind her.
Akuha tells Moka to come with her as she has another birthday present for Moka. Moka follows Akuha outside the castle to a cemetery and into an underground tunnel, and Akuha easily gets past the various locks and gates with her lock-picking skills. As they are walking down the tunnel, Akuha asks Moka if she knew what the True Ancestor (waiting for a better translation) was. Moka knows that the True Ancestor is supposed to be the ancestor of the vampires and the person who inherit the ancestor's powers is then referred as the new True Ancestor. Akuha then explains that the powers are not inherited by heredity but by blood, and the vampire who drinks all of the True Ancestor's blood will gain the power. Moka is not sure why Akuha is telling her this, but Akuha states that in the past, the True Ancestor wreaked havoc in the human world, but he was eventually defeated and his body lies beneath Shuzen castle. Akuha then bid Moka to look forward and Moka sees the body of a huge monster lying in a cavern. Akuha tells Moka that the monster is the final form of the True Ancestor named Alucard, once the oldest and most powerful vampire in the land. Akuha declares that she wants the power of the True Ancestor for herself so she can control the world. Moka is shocked and wonders why Akuha is telling her all this, but Akuha doesn't give a clear answer.
So that's what they've been hiding in the basement.
Moka walks alone back into the castle where she is found by Akasha. Akasha immediately slaps Moka because she knows Moka had seen the monster, and Akasha never wanted Moka to be connected to the monster in any way. Akasha then drags Moka to Moka's room and starts packing up Moka's stuff. When Moka asks if this has anything about her seeing the monster, Akasha explains that she and Issa has already decided beforehand to send Moka away. Akasha then retrieves a rosary and explains to Moka that the rosary will protect her. Akasha states that she wants Moka to grow up like a normal girl and promises to tell Moka everything one day, but for now she doesn't want any questions. Akasha tries to hand the rosary to Moka, but Moka slaps it away and leaves.
Later at the front of the castle, Moka says goodbye to Kahlua and Kokoa before hopping onto the car, and Moka starts to cry as the car pulls away from the castle. Meanwhile, Akasha is watching Moka's car from inside the castle, but she is interrupted by Akuha. Akuha states that Alucard was defeated by three people, and these three eventually became the Dark Lords. Akuha adds that the leader of the Dark Lords still watches over Alucard's body, and that Dark Lord is none other than Akasha. Akuha wants the True Ancestor's power, and to get to that power she is ready to fight Akasha.
Back on the road, Moka suddenly yells for the driver to stop. Realizing that she forgot her mother's rosary, Moka jumps out of the car and runs back towards the castle.

Moka's family history is actually getting pretty interesting. Much better than those filler-ish chapters that came out a few months ago. As expected, Akuha is an evil... or at least ambitious little girl who wants to take over the world. There is no explanation why Akuha wants to take over the world though, but her motivation is hinted to have something to do with her yet unrevealed identity. Anyways, to take over the world, Akuha wants the power of the vampire ancestor and to get that power she needs to go through Akasha, the third Dark Lord. Akasha being the third Dark Lord makes sense since she is buddies with Dongfang Bubai (although if they ever make another season of the anime they'll have to retcon the story. In the anime, Issa was the Dark Lord). If I understood correctly from this chapter, Akasha has obtained the power of the True Ancestor, and that would make her the most powerful vampire alive. I have my doubts though, because if Akasha was that powerful then Akuha should stand no chance against her. It also makes me wonder why she would marry Issa. There is still a lot of questions, and hopefully we'll get some answers in the next chapter. Maybe I'll understand more of the chapter when I read another translation.
Things are set up very nicely for the next chapter with Moka returning home for her rosary just to find Akasha and Akuha engaged in combat. The next chapter should be the big moment where Moka has her memories and original personality sealed within the rosary. I'm guessing it will come to Akasha making a last ditch effort to protect Moka and maybe stop Akuha from obtaining the power. There is also the situation in the real world with Akuha and the Miao family knocking on the doorsteps. It's good to see that Rosario + Vampire is becoming exciting once again.
