The Tokyo team battle against the invading aliens.
Shoddy list of highlights:
- The streets of Tokyo are littered with dismembered and disemboweled bodies and most of the people who are still alive are herded into cages by large dog-like creatures. The cages are then lifted off the ground towards the giant city ship.
- Sakurai tries to keep himself and his girlfriend Tonkotsu alive by using his psychic powers.
- Kato saves a bunch of little kids and lassos two alien troopers with his Y-pistol.
- Kaze kills an alien trooper by ripping out its spine. All the nearby humans cheer at Kaze's triumph.
- Kurono #2 and Reika watch the chaos from Reika's apartment and the two get ready to join the fight.
- Back at the high school, after tripping the alien by punching it in the left knee, Kurono #1 punches the alien in the left arm before being driven away by the alien's right arm. The alien stands up, swears at Kurono #1, and limps away. Kurono #1 picks up his H-gun and aims at the alien, but is unable to pull the trigger since the alien seems so close to human. Unbeknownst to Kurono #1, the alien has sent his image to an UFO pilot who is towing a bunch of a bunch of Japanese fighters with an electric field.

Muscle Rider kills a trooper by pulling out its spine! Well actually I'm not 100% sure if what Kaze pulled out is the spine, but I can't think of anything else that matches the shape and can be pulled out from near the neck area. Anyways, I expected no less from Kaze. Just like I thought, Kaze has no trouble killing the troopers with just his Gantz suit. Most of the other Tokyo Team members have entered or about to enter the fray. I'm curious as to what Nishi and the Vampires are doing right now though. Anyways, Kurono #1 made a mistake by not killing the alien, and now the UFOs will be knocking on his doors. I don't know how the Tokyo team can take on those UFOs right now, but they have to find a way to deal with them somehow.
As for the developments in this chapter, it seems that the alien have stopped killing people and are instead capturing them. Not sure what the purpose of capturing humans are, but it can't be good for the humans. Nobody wants to get dissected or anal-probed. These aliens are being depicted as more and more human-like, given their appearance and organization. I suppose those large four-legged beasts chasing people around the streets are their "dogs". It's curious that despite their clear sentience, the aliens don't appear to have any desire to communicate with humans and have elected to attack first instead. Maybe they are in dire need of a planet and resources, or maybe they are just extremely xenophobic. Hopefully we'll find out why as the story goes on.
